Amazon’s Prime Day Sale is Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can take advantage of endless deals on virtually everything, but it can be a lot to whittle through, especially if you’re looking for specific things. Here, I’ve categorized some of my favorite items in fashion, skin care, haircare and housewares. I have noted the markdowns where available at the time of publishing this post; sale prices may be subject to change.
Amazon Prime Days Fashion Deals
The Amazon Essentials Women's Studio Terry Fleece Romper (1) is just the type of thing I like to take on vacation, and it’s currently 25% off. It’s perfect to throw on in the morning to run down to grab breakfast, or easy to lounge in when you want a little downtime. I love this rich terracotta color but there are 15 hues to choose from.
This is my favorite style of tank top (2) for summer; the arm holes aren’t too low and the back doesn’t cut in so a regular bra works fine. It’s available in nine colors including two stripes, and currently 20% off.
I bought this polar fleece lined sherpa jacket (6) last fall because I loved the camel and lime green color combo and while it’s not marked down, the original price is a steal (under $40). Note that other colors are currently 21% off. It fits true to size and it is warm. I was impressed with how cozy it is. I wore it frequently on my walks so I appreciate that it’s machine washable and it’s held up really well, so much so that I’ll be pulling it out again this winter. Endless color options if you’re not into lime green (but how could you not be?).
You need to take a peek at this funnel neck cable sweater (3) because this photo doesn’t do it justice. It’s 56% cotton, under $35, machine washable and available in 11 gorgeous colors. This is another one I could see styling in a lot of different ways. It’s currently 21% off.
You can’t go wrong with a classic striped sweatshirt (4), but if stripes aren’t your thing, there are nine other colors to choose from. This one’s 60% cotton. The sleeve detail is just enough to elevate the look. It’s currently 5% off.
This funnel neck sweatshirt (7) is exactly what I love to wear on the weekends or when I take a walk. I like that it hits at the hip which is my preferred length to wear with leggings. Discount varies by color.
Admittedly, I don’t have much use for a long puffer jacket (5) living in Austin, but that’s not to say I never wear one especially given our last few winters. The price is just right given how infrequently I’ll wear it as it’s currently 25% off and less than $60!
And to round out my love for all things lime green, I’m going to grab this cotton-blend, machine-washable fleece crewneck sweatshirt (8), which is available in over 30 fantastic colors and prints. This color is not marked down but it is under $20, and other colors are discounted.
I’m most looking forward to trying Amazon’s version (10) of my beloved Hanky Panky boyshorts, for a fraction of the price. They get great reviews, one of which explicitly compares them to Hanky Panky. Currently 5% off.
ASICS Women's Gel-Nimbus 24 Running Shoes (11) are currently 38% off which is a steal! I’m also eyeing the Women's Braided Heeled Sandals (9) which are currently 40% off. The rafia is so cute for summertime.
Amazon Prime Days Skin Care Deals
I’ve tried many Caudalie products and have yet to find one that doesn’t work for me. The instant detox clay mask (1) (currently 20% off) works well on my sensitive, slightly dry skin and does exactly what it says—detox.
The Wander under eye patches (2) are my occasional treat either when needed due to a late night, travel or just because, and they’re currently 19% off. Similarly, I pull out my ice roller (3) and/or jade roller (4) (both currently 16% off) on an as-needed basis and they feel so good on my skin. I most often use my ice roller after a late night or if I have a sinus headache. I often take the jade roller with me when I travel and it’s easy to toss in the hotel fridge for when I need a pick-me-up. It’s also super helpful during allergy season.
I like La Roche-Posay’s highly-rated mineral sunscreen (5) (currently $10 off when you spend $40 with coupon), though it does leave a bit of a white cast. It’s long-lasting and doesn’t irritate my skin, which has gotten drier as I’ve aged. Another must-have for me is La-Roche Posay’s Pigmentclar (6)(currently $10 off when you spend $40 with coupon). It’s my daily cleanser, and it’s rich and creamy.
My aesthetician recently told me that at my age, I need hyaluronic acid and retinol in my routine. I have been using Farmacy’s Filling Good hyaluronic acid (7) (currently 25% off) religiously; it’s the first thing I put on my face every morning after washing it. It’s helped hydrate, plump and fill in some of those teeny tiny lines that probably I’m the only one who sees. It’s very lightweight and I only need one pump, so it lasts. Roughly every other night I use Paula’s Choice retinol (8)(currently 20% off). The recommended use is 3x/week to start, then every other night if your skin can handle it; I had no issues with bumping up my usage to every other night. (It’s also available in a travel size if you want to try a smaller size first.)
I reference my favorite Megababe products a lot because I use at least one of them almost daily and they really work for me. In my arsenal are the Body Dust (9) and Bust Dust (10). They are all a must for me during the hot, sweaty summer months, but I use them all throughout the year, really. Is having both the Body Dust and Bust Dust overkill? Maybe. I do like the applicator for the Bust Dust, though, as it really allows me to get in/around my bra strap lines easily. Both are currently 20% off.
If there were only two beauty products I stocked up on during the Prime Days Sale, it would be Grande Brow (11) and Grande Lash (12) because they are incredibly effective and I use both nightly. Every night. And they are both 30% off currently. I would also say that of every single skin care product that I’ve ever used in my adult life, these two have truly shown the best results. The Grande Brow has helped to fill in my once sparse, over-plucked brows, and the Grande Lash serum has turned me into one of those annoying women who complain because her eyelashes touch her sunglasses lenses. They are pricey but worth it. Know, though, that you must really be religious about using these products nightly to see results. It’s also worth noting that my eyes are extremely sensitive so I was really nervous about trying the Grande Lash. If you accidentally get some in your eyes (which is easy to avoid if you are careful), it does sting/burn for a second, but the product itself does not irritate my eyes, happily.
My one last holy grail product is Laneige’s lip sleeping mask (13) and it’s currently 30% off. Though it’s marketed as a “sleeping mask,” I use this stuff constantly—nighttime, morning and throughout the day! I always stock up on this favorite during the Prime Day Sale. Makes a great gift or stocking stuffer, too.
Amazon Prime Days Haircare Deals
My hair is very fine and mostly straight. If I let my hair air dry, there would be some subtle, frizzy waves. It also tends to be dry because I get highlights regularly and I use heat products regularly (although I do give my hair a bit of a break a lot in summertime). All that to say, what works for my hair type might not work for yours.
Over the course of previous Prime Day sales as well as Sephora's 20% off sales, I’ve upgraded nearly exclusively to T3 styling tools. The 1” ceramic flat iron (1) is one of my favorite tools because I can use it to straighten or, in a pinch, I can also use the flat iron to create some waves. It’s currently 30% off. I also really love my powerful ghd hairdryer (4) which is currently 25% off.
R+Co’s Dallas thickening shampoo and conditioner (2 & 3) are primarily what I use to wash and condition my hair, and they’re both currently 30% off. About once a week I use Olaplex No. 8 (6) for an intense moisture treatment; it’s currently 20% off. Before blow drying my hair, I use Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Cream (5) to help with dryness. It’s currently 30% off. I can’t live without amika the shield anti-humidity spray (7) during the summer months, and it’s currently 39% off.
Amazon Prime Housewares Deals
This is the Breville air fryer (3) we have which, as you can see, doesn’t look like a typical air fryer but more like a toaster oven, and it does a lot more than air fry. It has 13 cooking functions and we could probably get by with this and no microwave because it does pretty much everything we need. Currently 20% off.
I’m onto my second Spigen phone case + card holder (2) ever since my sister turned me onto it several years ago. Because it holds my driver’s license and debit card, this is often all I carry which I love. Currently 53% off.
During last fall’s Prime Days sale, I splurged on the GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker (1) which I had wanted for some time. The ice maker in our fridge is finicky, at best, and it simply can’t make enough ice quickly enough. Opal is constantly churning out ice and it isn’t terribly noisy. It is a pain to clean but worth it, in my opinion. Currently 5% off.
These reusable glass straws (8) are great. I like that the pack includes a mix of straight and bent straws. I’ve even used these for a White Elephant at Christmas because who can’t use good straws? Currently 15% off.
These stainless steel clothespins (4) are my go-to for securing my beach towel to my lounge chair as they’re much more durable than the brittle plastic kind (which cannot withstand sun and/or heat, I’ve learned). But you can use them for their intended purpose—as clothespins—or if you’re my family, you can use them to secure your potato chip bags, too! Currently 15% off.
Perhaps weirdly, I don’t mind ironing. However, some of my garments with layers or ruffle detailing of any kind can be a real you-know-what to iron, so I feel like a steamer (11) would make my life easier. This one gets rave reviews and is currently 14% off.
I’ve recently added a few Made In cookware pieces to my collection and I love them. We replaced our electric wok with this blue carbon steel wok (5) which I think does a better job and cooks more evenly, and is currently 29% off!
On our 5th anniversary, we stayed at an inn in the Willamette Valley in Oregon which in and of itself, was dreamy. Equally dreamy were the sheets on the bed, so much so that I insisted on stripping the sheets until I could find a tag to ID the brand. They were Jennifer Adams Lux Collection (7), and they are like butter! Currently 25% off.
Another update for me during last year’s Prime Days Sale was my Vitamix blender (9). It really is a game-changer. I previously had a Ninja blender which was perfectly good, but there’s no arguing that the Vitamix is much more powerful, something I notice especially with my smoothies. Currently 45% off.
We are Team Yeti over here, and everyone in our household has the beloved Rambler (6). I love the handle for easy carrying, too. Lots of Yeti products marked down!
During the height of COVID I worked on perfecting homemade pizza crust. It was pretty good, but I recently started using King Arthur 00 pizza flour (10) which has made a huge difference. I can’t find it at my local grocery store but it’s worth it to me to order online and keep it stocked in my pantry. Currently 15% off.
I’ve had the Tineco Hero Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum (12) for a year or two now and it was an excellent purchase. It is very lightweight and extremely powerful, plus the battery lasts a long time. We recently got rid of our traditional vacuum and just use this now. Our house is all hardwood and tile flooring with some large, low-pile area rugs, and the Tineco is sufficient for cleaning everything. It also has some attachments that we use to vacuum out our vehicles and the furniture when they need it. Currently 27% off.
