We travel a lot as a family and I am almost always planning our next trip. For me, traveling is no different from my day-to-day life in that I like to be organized and have my favorite things at my disposal. Here are some of my must-haves from Amazon, including travel gear to stay organized, beauty products and things that just make my travels go more smoothly.

Let’s start with the bags and storage items. This toiletry bag has so many compartments that I don’t need to use a separate bag for my make-up; it all fits in this one bag. And they also make a travel backpack that’s roomy and has multiple compartments and pockets. It’s the little things, but I really like that it has a water bottle holder as I almost always travel with my Yeti and refill at the airport filling stations. I keep one of these in my backpack for easy access to all of my cords. The reusable bags also go into my backpack. I use them for so many things - snacks, hand sanitizer, medication, ginger chews, etc. The last thing that goes in my backpack or purse is this handy pill organizer. Sure beats trying to pack multiple bottles! When I’m beach-bound, I like to take a sun hat and this has solved my dilemma of how to pack it.

I have yet to wear these on a flight (never say never!) but I absolutely use them when I arrive at my destination, especially if it’s a transatlantic trip. On the contrary, something I wear on nearly all flights are these not-so-attractive but very effective compression socks. They help keep my ankles from swelling in-flight. Back to beauty, another must-have is my travel mirror. It folds very flat and puts off a good amount of light; oftentimes I find the hotel bathroom light to be too dim. This little fan often comes in handy, too, when I’m getting ready. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’m so hot after showering and putting makeup on while sweating is a big “no,” not to mention mid-life sweats…
